The right to Statutory Adjudication in Ireland, under the Construction Contracts Act 2013, is a simple, efficient, and cost-effective method of resolving payment disputes on construction projects.

The highest number of cases involved in adjudication in Ireland, are in the ranges of €10,000 – €30,000 and €100,000- €500,000 according to the Fourth Annual Report of the implementation of the Construction Contracts Act 2013.

Parties to a “construction contract” cannot contract out of the statutory adjudication process. An adjudicator’s decision under the Act is binding and immediately enforceable.
