The setting of budgets and the proper allocation of costs is key to the overall success of the project, it is important the dynamics of construction budgets are understood and implemented to ensure that the clients get full value, and that one does not fall into the dictum of  “the price of everything and the value of nothing”

During design development in conjunction with the design team we determine budgets for all elements of the project to comply with the overall budget to achieve the employer’s requirements.

As is often the case the budgets are exceeded and several rounds of Value Engineering may be required, this involves all stakeholders in the project to rationalize their requirements to meet the budget and to get value for money, TMCL Consulting Ltd has over 30 years’ experience in the industry and can have a significant impact on this process having delivered large numbers of projects across all sectors, and on the ground intelligence with key suppliers and specialist subcontractors.

In our experience, detailed cost reporting is an essential tool in the cost and commercial management of the project to maintain the budget and we put great emphasis on this and ensure the client is fully briefed and understands the status of the project in terms of cost.
